Thread Of Remembrance traces an outline of the World Trade Center towers’ shadow. Following an unbroken path, the seven-inch wide, silver metal band would emanate from each tower’s footprint and be woven into the surface of New York - inlaid across plazas, streets and sidewalks, darting up the sides of buildings and crossing over rooftops.

Like a drawing for the heavens, the towers’ outline could be perceived in full from the air or nearby buildings. From the street, encounters with the little band would provide occasion to reconstitute each tower in our hearts and in the mind’s eye, where they still stand and where our loved ones live forever.
